ABOUT Carolyn Ehringhaus

Carolyn Ehringhaus is a licensed massage therapist certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, and Advanced Sports Massage. Carolyn earned a Ph.D. and worked in secondary and post-secondary education for many years. In 2005, she began a new career after completing the massage program at the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts. Carolyn maintains a private practice in Portland.

As a result of her on-going continued education, Carolyn combines a variety of techniques to help clients with various pain conditions, such as back, shoulder, and neck pain, Thoracic Outlet, tendinosis/tendinitis conditions, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, muscle strains and spasm, etc. Carolyn's primary area of interest and continued study focuses on relieving and/or managing acute and chronic pain. To that end, she is now engaged in a two-year "Myopain Seminars" course of study with an emphasis on the role of trigger points in Myofascial Pain Syndrome.
