Kindra is a private practice psychotherapist whose work centers on the following belief: People have an amazing capacity to learn and heal when offered an emotionally safe environment where they feel seen and understood. She strives to provide a supportive, compassionate space where people can explore difficult thoughts and feelings, create room for growth and healing, and connect with the best of who they are. Kindra offers both brief and depth therapy services for an adult clientele with expertise in a wide range of issues. She also welcomes individuals who aren't experiencing specific difficulties, but who want a supportive, confidential healing space to work on self-growth and exploration.
Kindra is licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). She earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in a program designed to incorporate spirituality and psychology in healing. Her 10 years of clinical experience has included working with clients across the lifespan in community mental health centers and in private practice. Kindra really enjoys being a psychotherapist and appreciates being able to share this with her clients. I learned about Turn the Tide through a link at the Center for Creative Healing website. Coincidentally, I also recently learned about the ability to provide professional services (like psychotherapy) through the Portland Time Bank. I've noticed through my own professional practice, as well as through personal experience, that there is a need for non-traditional payment options to help cover the cost of healthcare and other self care. I'd like to coordinate with other providers who feel similarly about this cause, both to provide services and also to help spread the word about this form of alternative payment and exchange
